— Hall of Fame Dinner —
The lma celebrated
20 years of the Barclays
Premier League at its annual Hall of Fame dinner,
proudly sponsored by Barclays, which took place at
Wembley Stadium on November 9th.
In one of the evening’s highlights, guest of honour
Carlo Ancelotti (who was inducted into the LMA’s Hall
of Fame) shared his memories of becoming the first
Chelsea manager to win the domestic double and the
first Italian manager to win the Barclays Premier League.
Ancelotti (pictured above, in conversation with Mick
McCarthy) said: “It is truly a great honour to join the list
of managerial greats in the LMA Hall of Fame. I enjoyed
a fantastic two seasons with Chelsea and I am very proud
that my achievements, both in England and Italy, have
been recognised in such a special way.”
LMA chief executive Richard Bevan said: “This has
been a unique evening, bringing together football
managers who have made such a significant contribution
to the Barclays Premier League in the past 20 years.”
